Forum for the Future ?

Over the last four months or so I've been trying to make it a regular routine for me to read articles & blogs on Forum for the Future who are a non profit organisation that assist business and government in the area of sustainability.

At first, I must be honest, I thought it was going to be a case of of them showing how good they are and towing the government line. However, I like to admit when I am wrong and in this case I am very wrong.

The articles are clear and easy to understand and not full of acronyms and jargon that only a specialist would understand.

Their ongoing "push" to make business and government in this country look towards a more sustainable future should be applauded. In many cases, so called specialists are very good at giving a lecture but not so good at rolling their sleeves up and actually implementing solutions in the real world.
Well Forum for the Future do.

Their list of projects completed & success is impressive and modus operandi is cutting edge and yet simple, for example see Dairy 2020.

They get stuck in and really operate at the centre of the project providing input & direction whilst enabling others (and us as a whole) to reap the benefit and facilitating long term change even after they have taken a step back, letting the parties involved continue.

Forum for the future are not afraid to speak their minds to both government and business just reading their article on (more a case of chastising the governments decision to close the sustainable development commission ) " The Greenest Government Ever" it is clear that they are vocal in supporting their ideology.

If you want to keep abreast of sustainability issues and news then you can't go far wrong with making Forum of the Future a regular read.
